Organon
Organon & Co. (Organon) is a global healthcare company focused on women’s health and was originally founded in the Netherlands in the early 1920’s. The company was later acquired by Merck and eventually spun-off to form its own publicly traded company. RHJ was approached by the landlord (MRA Group) in 2020 to prepare a test-fit and review the very aggressive design and delivery schedule. RHJ and the rest of the team completed construction documents, permitting, full engineering & equipment coordination within a span of 12 months during the height of COVID.
The facility is used for R&D with an Evidence Lab and a small Potent Compound Lab, which contains a Bag-In-Bag-Out Filtration Room. The lab is open and adaptable. All perimeter benching is fixed and the open lab consists of islands, which are a mix of mobile and adjustable benching with utilities being fed from ceiling tiles to allow for movement of equipment. This project was awarded LEED Gold certification.
