Sheppard Redistribution, Inc. (Sheppard) is a master distributor that serves the Mid-Atlantic, Pittsburgh and Ohio markets. RHJ was contracted by Sheppard to design a new ground-up headquarters & warehouse facility to perform a lateral move from their existing facility to a modern space that better fit their current & future requirements.
The building was designed with custom precast architectural panels, and double-height storefront entries with decorative inlaid brick surrounds to make a strong visual statement to visitors. RHJ worked closely with ownership to create a personalized office fit-out with collaborative work areas, private offices, amenity, and training spaces, as well as separate break rooms and bathroom facilities for the office & warehouse teams.
For the interior design, our team diligently coordinated the finishes to complement the new workstations acquired by ownership, as well as the existing furniture that was relocated from the previous facility.
With a thirty-six-foot clearance inside, and wide bay structure, the building perfectly accommodates Sheppard’s high-pile storage requirements, resulting in more efficient day-to-day shipping operations.
